Conflict of Interest

Balkanistic Worlds requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any circumstances that could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, the research or editorial process.

Conflicts of interest may be financial, professional, institutional, personal, or academic.

Authors

Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest at the time of submission. They should also disclose relevant funding or other support for the research.

If no conflict exists, authors may state:

The authors declare no conflict of interest.

Reviewers

Reviewers must decline to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest that could affect their impartiality. Potential conflicts should be disclosed to the editorial team.

Editors

Editors must not participate in decisions concerning manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest or another circumstance that could compromise impartiality.

Disclosed conflicts are handled confidentially and do not automatically prevent publication. The editorial team determines the appropriate course of action in each case.
