Abstract

The Banat-Romanian German Rudolf Hollinger wrote twelve letters to Herman Hesse during the 1957-1960 period. The Nobel laureate for literature sent to the longtime teacher of German literature at the University in Timisoara several post cards and gifted him several collections of his new poems. For everyone interested, the professor Mihaela Zaharia of the University of Bucharest collected the correspondence between them and published the letters in four languages: the original German, Romanian, French and English.
